Concerns over possible fuel spills in rear-end collision

Covers 2009-2010 Cubes made between Jan 30, 2009, and July 30, 2009

Includes 45,700 in U.S. and 5,400 in Canada

NHTSA tests found more fuel spilled than allowed

Spillage occurred w/ 50mph rear crash where vehicle also tipped on side

Nissan says its tests didn't show fuel leakage but will issue voluntary recall

Dealers to attach special protector when owners bring in vehicles
