50.9% of respondents anticipate slight increase

16.1% foresee dramatic increase

14% see a drop while 19% say business will remain same

Shops say business boost coming from consumers holding cars longer

Also more knowledge about advantages of maintaining vehicles

Those predicting downturn cite economy, higher taxes, cautious spending

"This year's results reflect greater optimism about business expectations than the previous year when 60 percent of respondents indicated a slight or dramatic increase was in store for 2009.
